White River Flooding Expected To Continue

Last updated on Monday, June 27, 2011

(UNDATED) - Flooding along the White and Wabash Rivers in southern Indiana is expected to continue through the first week of July.

The region received 3 to 6 inches of rain Sunday morning with the heaviest totals in Sullivan and Jackson counties.

The National Weather Service expects 1 to 2 inches to fall in central Indiana.

Officials say that rain will complicate the southern region as the excess water moves downstream.
