Missing Student's Story Airs On 'America's Most Wanted'

Last updated on Monday, June 13, 2011

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - We’re entering the second week since I.U. Sophomore Lauren Spierer disappeared, and Bloomington police say there are no significant developments yet in their search to find her.

Captain Joe Qualters says the department received about 30 tips as a result of Saturday night's airing of "America's Most Wanted."

Qualters is declining to discuss the types of information detectives got from tipsters.

He says police are still hoping to speak with some of Lauren's "friends and associates" about the night she disappeared.

Lauren's father, Robert, says organized searches are being scaled back to two per day at 11:00AM and 5:30PM.
