Jury Trial Averted In Dog Fighting Case

(PAOLI, IN) - A jury trial has been averted in the second of two cases for dog fighting in Orange County.

Instead, 73-year-old Eli Taylor will appear in Orange Superior Court for a plea agreement and sentencing.

Orange Superior Court Judge Mike Cloud is now expected to sign the order today allowing the Taylor case to be continued.

Taylor was one of two men arrested in Orange County on August 11th of 2009 for dog fighting.

More than 100 dogs were rescued during the initial investigation.
