Trooper Dragged By Car During Stop

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A Bloomington-area state police trooper is recovering today after being dragged close to 50 feet by a fleeing suspect.

31-year-old Michael Norris allegedly stepped on the gas and tried to take off after a traffic stop, dragging the trooper along.

The trooper was treated and released from Bloomington Hospital.

Norris is charged with battery using a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement.
