(BEDFORD, IN) - Lt. Governor Becky Skillman was in Bedford Tuesday afternoon to speak at the Indiana 500 Tour Kick-Off at the Lawrence County Museum.
The Indiana 500 Tour is a 500-mile-long trail promoting travel to the state's cultural sites.
Skillman, a Lawrence County native was also recently named as a semifinalist for the 2011 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award.
The Freedom Award is the Department of Defense's highest recognition given to employers for exceptional support of their employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.
