Louisville Police: All Efforts Exhausted In Search For Missing Indiana Teen

Last updated on Tuesday, May 31, 2011

(LOUISVILLE, KY) - The Louisville Metro Police Department says it has exhausted all efforts to find the body of a missing Carmel, Indiana teen.

This comes despite an online petition to get investigators to resume looking for 18-year-old Andrew Compton.

The Sullivan University students vanished last October.

Gregory O'Bryan has been charged in Compton's murder, but no body has been found.

Louisville Police spent nine days searching in vain for the body in a Medora, Indiana landfill.

The webpage lookforandrew.com has nearly 700 petitioners who want authorities to continue searching for Compton.

LMPD Spokesman Dwight Mitchell says they've followed all leads into Compton's disappearance and welcome any new information that might lead them to the body.

They're currently awaiting the outcome of the O'Bryan case in court and are asking anyone with leads into Compton's disappearance to call the department at 502-574-LMPD.
