Flooding May Hamper Dogwood Festival

Last updated on Thursday, April 28, 2011

(ORLEANS, IN) - Due to the serious flooding situation in Orleans, the Dogwood Festival Committee is asking those planning to visit the town wide yard sales this Friday and Saturday to use extreme caution when traveling through the town.

Flooded streets should not be crossed, and barricades should be observed.

Orleans Community Schools are closed today as a result of the flooding conditions and town officials are expected to survey several areas of town to further determine the extent of the flood situation.
