County Police Holding Drug Take-Back Day

Last updated on Friday, April 29, 2011

(UNDATED) - Police in 68 Indiana cities will take back unneeded prescription drugs Saturday, the last time such an event should be needed.

The legislature has sent Governor Daniels a bill ordering the state pharmacy board to establish rules for drugstores to take back unused meds.

Current law requires a police presence.

Attorney General Greg Zoeller says that makes it harder for people to get rid of a potential health hazard round the house.
