(UNDATED) - An all new round of sticker shock at the gas pump; $4 a gallon gas has made its way to Indiana.
It started Monday night and gave commuters an unpleasant surprise Tuesday morning.
Crude oil prices spiked at the end of last week and it's now trickling down to the consumer.
Analysts have said the unrest in the middle east, warmer weather, higher demand, and the economic recovery are all factors in the higher prices.
Motorists say they're cutting back and making lists of where to go.
Car dealerships around Central Indiana also reporting buyers opting for small Sedans instead of SUVs.
Some stations are still selling for around $3.70 a gallon.
