Last updated on Friday, March 18, 2011

(ORLEANS, IN) - Republican Ernie Sluss has been appointed to fill the vacancy on the Orleans Town Council’s Ward 3 following the resignation of Republican Randy Lawyer in February.

Sluss was appointed to the seat during a special Republican Town Caucus held on Wednesday at Orleans Town Hall.

Sluss previously worked with Rogers Group, Inc. in Bloomington for over 30 years before joining Quality Assurance Laboratory in 2009 as a technician.

Sluss was officially sworn in by Orleans Clerk Robert Henderson during Thursday night's Orleans Town Council regular meeting.
