(NORTH VERNON, IN) - A North Vernon man stole a police car as he tried to flee an arrest.
Authorities had stopped 25-year-old Kevin Ford for a traffic violation and discovered he was wanted on multiple warrants.
Ford was handcuffed and placed in the back of the patrol car, however he forced his hand out of the cuffs and took off.
He was apprehended after abandoning the car and fleeing on foot.
