(BEDFORD, IN) - Heavy winds yesterday may have been responsible for at least two wild fires in Lawrence County.
According to the Lawrence County Sherriff Department, officers received several phone calls reporting downed power lines amidst a group of wild fires.
One of the fires was reported near Huron Williams Road in which a field was on fire.
The other occurred near old State Road 37N in a wooded area.
Both areas had downed power lines nearby which could have started the fires.
