Census Data Will Give Central Indiana More Representation

Last updated on Monday, February 14, 2011

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Indiana Business Research Center at I.U.’s Kelley School of Business says the 2010 Census data will lead to central Indiana gaining more representation in both the state and federal legislatures.

That's because the Indianapolis-Carmel metro area accounts for 57% of the state's total growth.

There are declines among communities in the state's automotive belt, including Logansport, Connersville and Kokomo.
