(HARDINSBURG, IN) - A Hardinsburg man is facing nine criminal charges, including attempted murder and kidnapping.
Orange County police say 41-year-old Kevin Stephens was taken to Bloomington Hospital Tuesday and remained there overnight for a mental evaluation.
Wednesday he was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail.
A woman called 911 informing police that a man with a gun was threatening to kill her and was trying to force her to leave with him.
Five members of the Orange County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene and found that at least three shots had been fired by Stephens.
The man eventually allowed his wife to exit the residence and soon afterward surrendered without further incident.
Stephens is now facing nine criminal charges.
