Last updated on Monday, January 3, 2011

(LINTON, IN) - A cell phone text message is being blamed as the cause of a car crash on New Year’s Eve.

Police say that 21-year-old Morgan Bradley of Bloomington was traveling southbound on State Road 43 south of Tulip Road in Greene County when she received a text message and reached for her phone.

Bradley's car then ran off the road and hit a utility pole.

Following the wreck, the driver moved the car to Yoho's store in Solsberry where it was left unattended.
