(BEDFORD, IN) - Officials with the Salvation Army report red kettle donations for this winter are way down.
Captain Donna Rose of Bedford's Salvation Army says if donations don't pick up in this final week of Christmas shopping, the agency will have a hard time meeting needs in the next year.
In the fall, Salvation Army took applications for Christmas assistance and at least 360 families will receive help from the agency this Christmas.
Kettles will be out until Christmas Eve when the stores close.
