(MITCHELL, IN) - Friends, family and police are searching for missing Mitchell teen Landon Cooper.

The 16-year-old sophomore was last seen Monday morning at a gas station on Highway 37 and hasn't been seen since.

Krista Cooper, Landon's mother, says she has called his cell phone numerous times, but with no answer.

Mitchell Police Chief Jerry Presnell says Cooper has been entered into a computer database as a missing person, and his department has notified police in Greenwood, where the teen used to live.

Landon Cooper was last seen at the Clark Gas Station on Highway 37.

He is 6 feet tall, weighs about 210 pounds, has an athletic build with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information should call the Mitchell Police Department, 849-2151.
