(UNDATED) - If you’re returning an unwanted Christmas gift, make sure you do it promptly.
Central Indiana Better Business Bureau President Bill Thomas says as long as stores post their returns policy in advance, they're within their rights to make that policy whatever they want.
He says it's the customer's responsibility to know what the policy is and says what may be the oldest rule still holds true: you can save yourself a lot of trouble by hanging onto your receipt.
