(BROWNSTOWN, IN) - Three Jackson County teens were rescued from the icy waters of the Brownstown Park pond Friday evening after attempting to go ice skating.

13-year-old James Ratcliff and his siblings, 13-year-old Triston Anderson and 14-year-old Angel D. Anderson suffered from exposure after they fell through ice covering the pond.

The trio was taken to Schneck Medical Center for treatment and observation.

Police would like to remind residents to use caution on any ponds or lakes during the winter.
