(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Three Bloomington women were briefly trapped in an elevator Thursday afternoon during a power outage.

Crews from the Bloomington Fire Department were able to rescue the three women who were trapped in an elevator on the seventh floor of The Mercury building on N. Morton Street. Fire officials say that everyone was ok and no one was hurt.

Duke Energy says the outage occurred after a car crashed into a utility power near the intersection of Atwater and Henderson avenues.
