(PAOLI, IN) - The investigation into the shooting death of an Orleans man continues.

According to Orange County Prosecutor Kelly Minton, police officials discussed the case Monday morning and states "the investigation is ongoing."

Police found 38-year-old Billy Joe Bledsoe dead of an apparent gunshot wound this past Wednesday morning.

Officers say they found two other men present at the residence.

A preliminary investigation reveals one of the two men shot Bledsoe in self-defense.

Bledsoe's mother, Edith Thacker, says there was an ongoing dispute between her son and one of the men who was at the home at the time of the shooting.
