(MITCHELL, IN) - In a short meeting Tuesday night, Paoli School Superintendent 68-year-old Dr. Alva Sibbitt Jr. was hired to replace retiring Mitchell school Superintendent John Lantis.
Sibbitt was chosen from 20 applicants to become the new Mitchell Schools Superintendent.
He was hired by the Mitchell School Board on a vote of 5-0 and was signed to a three and a half year contract.
He will start at Mitchell on January 1st.
Paoli schools will now look for a replacement.
