Brown County Woman Killed In Truck Collision

(GNAW BONE, IN) - A Brown County woman was killed in a head-on collision involving two pickup trucks.

Police say that the accident happened just before 6:00AM on Highway 46 East, near Bailey's Bait & Tackle.

50-year-old Teresa K. Smith died when the pickup truck she was driving was struck head on by a pickup truck driven by 20-year-old Daniel Ray Collins.

Police say that Collins appears to have fallen asleep at the wheel or "possibly had a diabetic reaction" at the time of the crash.

The accident is still under investigation.
