(UNDATED) - The dry temperatures and winds have caused weather officials to be on alert to issue fire advisories.
A red flag warning was in effect Wednesday in certain parts of the state and firefighters experienced the danger as field fires were fought in Plainfield and Indianapolis.
The warnings and watches put firefighters and law enforcement on alert that the risk is heightened.
