Heltonville Teen Dies In Collision

Police Release Wreck Photos
(BROWNSTOWN, IN) - An 18-year-old Heltonville teen was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning that blocked traffic in Jackson County.

Indiana State Police say that a Ethan Shirley's Ford Ranger was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 early Wednesday morning when for unknown reasons the truck crossed the center line of the roadway.

The Ranger then collided into a semi driven by 44-year-old Cecil Blackwell of Mitchell.

Shirley was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, pronounced dead upon arrival.

The driver of the semi escaped the collision without injury.
