Fire Hydrants To Be Flushed In Bedford Area

(BEDFORD, IN) - Beginning today, crews with Bedford City Utilities will flush fire hydrants within the city.

Customers are advised to be on the lookout for muddy or rusty water one the fire hydrant flushing days.

If the water becomes discolored in your area, let the cold faucets run for a short while until it clears up.


The flush schedule is as follows:
Monday: 16th & S streets west, Bex Addition, Edgewood Addition, Cambridge Square and Clover Park Apartments.
Tuesday: 17th & L streets east, south to 27th, Rainbow Hills, Heritage Meadows and Broadview Addition.
Wednesday: Lincoln Avenue north of 15th, 15th west of L Street, north to 10th and John Williams Boulevard.
Thursday: 15th and E to 15th and K, north to Breckenridge Road
Friday: Eighth and O west to X, north to Second & S, Heltonville Road, Mount Pleasant and Boyd Lane
Sunday: 16th & P east, 17th south to 39th, west of M St., Eastlake Drive, Crawford Addition, Brook Knoll and Saddle Barn Addition.
