Wooden Crosses Memorialize Boat Crash Victims

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Two white wooden crosses have been constructed to memorialize Susan Collier and Collier’s 8-year-old grandson, Gage.

Jolene Eckert, a sister of Collier's took the crosses to the shore of Lake Monroe as a memorial to the two who were killed in a boating accident on June 28th.

Rusty Collier and his other two grandsons were in a fishing boat with his wife and Gage when a collision occurred with a speed boat.

Collier suffered a serious cut to his leg in the crash.

The 19-year-old man operating the ski boat has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal boating accident.
