I.U. Libraries To Document U.S. Senatorial Papers

Last updated on Tuesday, September 7, 2010

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A $60,000 grant will help Indiana University libraries complete the processing of senatorial papers given to I.U. by former U.S. Senator Birch Bayh.

The grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission will go toward the preservation, arrangement and description of about two million documents.

The money will also help pay for an online guide showing what the collection contains.

I.U. libraries says the collection will provide a complete picture of Bayh's congressional staff workings and Bayh's work as a politician.
