(MARTINSVILLE, IN) - Two Bloomington men are facing charges after attempting to rob a Martinsville home.

Police say that 23-year-old Kevin Joseph McGruder and 26-year-old Daniel Ray Lane were scared away from the house after the homeowner began firing warning shots at the pair.

Both have since been charged with burglary, residential entry and criminal trespass. Beau Pearcy called 911 when the two men were trying to break into his home.

The man fired his 9mm handgun into the ground; the two ran to their car and drove away.
