Crash Leads To Injuries, Heat Exhaustion

(TUNNELTON, IN) - Police and fire officials were called to the scene of a farming accident Tuesday afternoon resulting in two injuries.

Officials say that a third person was also injured in the incident when a volunteer firefighter collapsed at the scene.

36-year-old Charles Goens says he was approaching a corn sprayer at a fast rate of speed and was unable to avoid hitting a tire on the farm equipment.

Goens was taken to taken to an area hospital with his passenger treated at the scene.

Shawswick Volunteer firefighter Bob Barber collapsed at the scene due to heat exhaustion and was and was also taken to an area hospital for treatment.
