Last updated on Tuesday, July 27, 2010

(NEEDMORE, IN) - The injuries sustained by a motorcycle driver involved in a highway collision Monday morning remain unknown.

Officials say that 23-year-old Robert S. Verbocht was flown by helicopter to an unknown hospital following the wreck.

Initial reports indicate that Verbocht suffered injuries to his entire body after his 2004 Suzuki hit the rear end of a pickup truck driven by 59-year-old Rosetta M. Root.

At one point in time, traffic is believed to have been backed up for nearly a mile as a result of the wreck.
