(MITCHELL, IN) - A Mitchell city councilman has resigned from his position.
Mike Eager announced the resignation after purchasing a house outside the city limits.
Information on his resignation will now be given to the Lawrence County Clerk so a Republican caucus can appoint a replacement.
Eager told his fellow politicians during a Monday council meeting that since he is living outside of the city limits, he felt it was only right to resign.
This situation is loosely related to that of Councilman Everett Ferrell.
