(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Bloomington Police discovered a meth operation in action Tuesday night in an apartment complex on South College Mall Road.

Bloomington Police were first informed of the operation after receiving a tip that 24-year-old Michael E. Starks was manufacturing the drug inside his apartment.

Police say that they observed a Starks climb into an SUV and later pulled the car over.

A police K-9 unit then signaled that he smelled controlled substances on the vehicle.

A plastic bag of methamphetamine was discovered inside the car.

A search of Starks apartment later revealed a meth lab found inside the man's apartment.

Starks was arrested on one charge of manufacturing methamphetamine and two charges of possession of meth with intent to deal.
