(NASHVILLE, IN) - Brown County and the Brown County Sheriff's Department are being sued in federal court by a Brown County Sheriff's Office dispatcher, who claims she is owed overtime pay amounting to as much as a three-year period of employment.

Betty Jo Aldrich suit claims that the county and sheriff's department violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by requiring dispatchers work more than 40 hours at least one week per pay period.

She says that herself and her fellow dispatchers have been not been compensated for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

The suit demands payment for those wages and benefits, not only to herself, but to all current and former employees who worked as dispatchers since 2007.
