Man Wanted For Theft Of Purse And SUV

(FRENCH LICK, IN) - Police from both French Lick and West Baden Springs are in search for a man suspected of taking a purse and a SUV.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Allen Cross is asked to call police at (812) 936-9811.

Police were called to the Row Boat Cafe in West Baden Springs to investigate a reported purse theft.

Witnesses at the scene say that Cross grabbed the purse and ran outside to a nearby house.

While police were talking with residents at the house, Cross ran out a side door.

Witnesses say he was heading towards the West Baden Springs Town Hall.

Police later spotted Cross's car in Bloomington, out of fuel and abandoned.

The vehicle was processed for fingerprints and DNA.
