(LINTON, IN) - A 40-year-old Linton man was arrested over the weekend when officers discovered him passed out behind the steering wheel of his car which was parked on a highway still running.

Anthony J. Niebrugge was booked into the Greene County Jail.

Police say that the man was found in the northbound lane of State Road 67 south of Switz City with his foot still on the accelerator.

Anthony had an odor of alcohol on his breath, had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and an uncooperative attitude when police confronted home about the incident.

After giving the man a breathalyzer test, officers noted that the man's alcohol content was twice the legal limit.

He was arrested on several preliminary charges related to operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
