(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - 193 marijuana plants were discovered earlier this week following investigations by the Indiana State Police.

39-year-old Benjamin Russell of Bloomington was booked into the Lawrence County Jail Sunday evening.

Police originally responded to a tip about possible unlawful activity at an abandoned house on wolf creek road, east of Highway 37 near the Lawrence-Monroe County line.

When police arrived at the scene they noticed a strong odor of raw marijuana.

193 marijuana plants, two pounds of processed marijuana and around $4,000 in cash were recovered from the home.
