(SEYMOUR, IN) - A Seymour man was arrested over the weekend for sending inappropriate text messages and pictures to a 16-year-old girl.
According to police reports, 22-year-old Cory D. Jones was arrested for harassment and intimidation.
His arrest stems from an investigation that began in late February, with the victim's mother saying that Jones was sending text messages and photographs to her daughter's cell phone.
Police say that the issue of sexting, or sending sexually explicit photos through cell phones, has become a serious problem with kids.
With the courts backing the department, authorities say that they are taking sexting reports more seriously.
