River Society Cleans Up 6,400 Pounds Of Trash

(SEYMOUR, IN) - The Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society have completed their spring cleanup of a portion of the river that bears their name.

Society President Troy Jackson said 154 volunteers braved wet and muddy conditions to improve the area.

Jackson says they were able to haul away roughly 6,400 pounds of refuse, including 104 tires, from the Jennings County portion of the Muscatatuck River.
