H1N1 Remains Public Health Concern In Indiana

Last updated on Friday, April 23, 2010

(UNDATED) - One year after its emergence, the H1N1 flu strain remains an active public health concern in Indiana.

The Indiana State Department of Health says the swine flu pandemic is over, but the virus is still being transmitted throughout the state.

State Health Commissioner Dr. Greg Larkin says over 1.3 million Hoosiers have been vaccinated, but less than 50% of the high risk patients are included in that total.
