(PAOLI, IN) - Authorities are searching for a woman they say flashed a gun and took off with $48,000 worth of oxycontin.
Police say that the Wednesday evening robbery took place in Paoli's CVS Pharmacy when a woman walked up to a pharmacy employee and pulled up her shirt, revealing a gun stuck down her waistband.
Paoli Police Chief Barry Chastain says that the employee then turned to Skip Lambdin, the pharmacist on duty, and told him the woman had a gun and wanted oxycontin.
Lambdin discreetly called 911 and laid the phone on the counter, alerting police of what was going on.
The woman then rushed to her car before speeding away from the scene.
Police are searching for a silver or gray four-door passenger car.
The woman is described as being short with short brown hair and brown eyes, wearing blue jeans and a gray t-shirt with a pink band or scarf in her hair.
There have been several pharmacy robberies in southern Indiana so far this year including the town Mitchell and Bloomington.
