(UNDATED) - Each year, more than 20,000 Hoosier children are abused and neglected… it equals 56 children hard every day and one child each week losing his or her life to child abuse.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Prevent Child Abuse Indiana Director Sharon Pierce stresses the importance of the campaign. She organized displaying one-thousand blue pinwheels in the front lawn of the Indiana State Museum. Each pinwheel represents 87 births... for a total of the 87,000 babies born each year in Indiana.
