Seymour Police Make Rare Heroin Bust

Last updated on Monday, March 8, 2010

(SEYMOUR, IN) - Two Seymour residents are facing drug charges.

Police officials say they had received information that 28-year-old Nathan Chambers and 28-year-old Brooke Beatty were dealing heroin.

Police Chief Bill Abbott says that officers don't make many heroin busts in Seymour, but not because the drug isn't being used or sold here, rather it's hard to get in with people using it.

He says the drug is now beginning to make a comeback.

He said most of the people who use heroin are hooked on prescription pain medication.
