Police say that the cause of the wreck was likely due to speed and fog in the area.

According to Indiana State Police Trooper Bill Bradbury, the wreck occurred near the intersection of State Roads 59 and 46. 45-year-old John P. Meurer of Linton, collided with 57-year-old Gerald L. Boston of Jasonville which later caused an additional wreck in which a semi overturned in the same location.
