Police Investigating Jackson County Shooting

(SEYMOUR, IN) - Jackson County police are investigating an accidental shooting Wednesday afternoon between Spraytown and Freetown.

According to Sheriff Marc Lahrman, the male, who has not been identified, was taken to Schneck Medical Center and then flown to the University of Louisville.

He has since been listed in critical but stable condition.

The man on the left side of his chest and was having difficulty breathing when police arrived.

Police believe that other people were involved.

The case remains under investigation.
