Ed Hirt, Professor in IU Bloomington's Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, co-authored a study; "Match Madness: Probability Matching in Prediction of the NCAA Basketball Tournament."
Hirt says he was surprised by how little expertise or favoring an underdog really explained people's tournament predictions.
