(SEYMOUR, IN) - Eight people were arrested recently at a Seymour motel.
According to police reports, the group was arrested on drug charges following a stakeout at the motel.
Police say that they had received information last week that several people were purchasing Oxycontin from the motel.
After surveillancing the area, investigators noted several people buying the drug for personal use and resale.
Among the arrested were 22-year-old Dustin Weddle, 24-year-old Elmer Ison and 24-year-old Crystal Long, 24-year-old Jonathan Chilton, 24-year-old Travis Clark, 19-year-old Leslie Bryant, 26-year-old Ashlei Kellams and 22-year-old Eric Streeval.
They were all taken into police custody facing preliminary drug charges.
