(UNDATED) - A push to have John Mellencamp run for the U.S. Senate seat left open by Evan Bayh goes unanswered by the Hoosier rocker.
Mellencamp has not responded to a grassroots effort for him to run.
A Facebook page supporting Mellencamp has over 6,000 fans.
The Indiana Democratic Party will choose Bayh's successor after the may 4 primary election.
