(SALEM, IN) - State police are investigating the death of a Salem woman.
39-year-old Maria C. Minton was pronounced dead at a Louisville Hospital following an automobile crash in Salem on Tuesday.
Police officials say that Minton who was the driver in the wreck, went home following the crash.
Later that morning she was taken to Washington County Hospital where she was then transported to the University of Louisville Hospital because of the extent of her injuries.
An autopsy will be performed by the Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office this morning.
No other information is available at this time, police said.
