Man's Body Recovered After Falling Through Ice, Into Pond

(BLOOMFIELD, IN) - One man was killed and another rescued Saturday after the two fell through ice while fishing in Greene County.

Indiana Conservation Officers say that an investigating the death of 77-year-old Delmar W. Scott of Jasonville continues.

The man's body was recovered from the bottom of an ice-covered pond after being discovered by Linton Fire Department personnel.

Authorities say that family members became worried when Scott did not return from fishing.

In a separate incident, 43-year-old Thomas A. Case of Columbia City was fishing at Shakamak Lake when he fell through the ice.

The man was taken by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital.
